Before buying a laptop, there are a lot of things you should consider.It is important to do your research about the latest trends and development for laptops.If you're thinking to buy a new laptop ,check out these laptop buying tips.

Size and Weight

we can dived laptops into five categories by weight, with some overlap: netbooks (usually less than 1.5kg), ultraportable (1.5kg-2kg), thin-and-lights (1kg-2kg), mainstream models (2kg-4kg) and desktop replacements (generally 4kg or heavier).

Obviously the size and weight of a laptop is important.When shopping for a laptop, make sure to pick up the systems and verify its something you are willing to carry. Don't forget to also consider the weight of accessories such as AC adapter when carrying around the laptop.

Processors (CPU)

You need to know about which processor suits you. for example, if you are a designer or gamer then you need to go with latest high computing power processor. Otherwise If you are performing more simple applications such as surfing the Internet and creating Word documents, you don't need a computer with the most processing power.

Memory (RAM)

Having enough memory is vital to system performance, and lots of RAM lets you run more applications simultaneously.Adding RAM is an easy way to boost performance, but first make sure that the notebook's memory sockets are accessible. (They're usually under a panel on the bottom of the system.).

2GB: entry level. This will be fine for office work and internet browsing, and will get you by for most basic tasks

4GB or more: recommended! Good for 3D gaming, graphics work and video editing. Keep in mind that if you hit the 4GB point, you'll need to run a 64-bit operating system to take advantage of all of the memory — a 32-bit one won't be able to access it all. Make sure to check that you're getting a 64-bit version of Windows before you buy.

Hard Drive

Choose a laptop with good storage capacity. For users who prefer computers for gaming, a large storage is a must. On the other hand, if you are only a typical PC user, you may settle for regular HDD storage capacity. With this capacity, you can still store your large files for pictures, videos and other documents. For instances of needing more file storage, you can buy an external hard drive to connect to your laptop.

Ports

Make sure that you have enough ports on your laptop.at a minimum, look for two USB ports. If you'd like to use a digital camcorder with your notebook, you may need a FireWire (IEEE 1394) port. Connecting a monitor will require a VGA port at minimum (if you'll be giving presentations, a VGA port is also where you'll connect a projector). A lot of PC laptops these days also have a combined USB and eSATA port — eSATA allows faster connections to external hard drives, provided that your external hard drive supports it.

Networking

Everyone is in need of being connected to the web any time. Check the laptop’s connectivity features.Look for systems that include a built in Fast Ethernet and Wi-Fi.Integrated wireless networking (Wi-Fi) has become an indispensable feature.

Battery Life

Consider the battery life. If you will be moving around frequently and need to use your computer in places where you can't plug it in, get a laptop with a longer battery life.
